adjustment and other physical therapeutic techniques.
Why should I study Chiropractic at Murdoch?

understanding of the sciences, technologies and practices that constitute
Chiropractic as a profession, and the ability to competently perform at
the clinical level expected of a primary contact healthcare practitioner,
specialising in mechanical dysfunctional states of the musculoskeletal system
- Murdoch's Chiropractic develops a high standard of analytical, communication
and professional skills in addition to the academic and clinical skills
which embrace the practice of Chiropractic.
- Murdoch's Chiropractic is 'practice-focused' and 'patient-oriented'. Students
receive extensive clinical training under supervision in the new University
clinic where experienced participating Chiropractors see their own patients
as well as new patients.
- Murdoch's Chiropractic curriculum is not only developed to equip students
with the knowledge and skills that are both relevant to and in demand by
the Chiropractic profession and community but it will also continue to evolve
to meet the demands of a rapidly changing health care environment and community
needs.
- Murdoch's Chiropractic receives the support of the Chiropractors Board
of Western Australia, the registration body for Chiropractors in Western
Australia. The course is fully accredited by the Council on Chiropractic
Education Australasia. (http://www.ccea.com.au).
Graduates are eligible for registration in all States and Territories of
Australia and New Zealand.
- Murdoch's Chiropractic builds on the strengths of Murdoch University not
only as an excellent research institution but also as a great teaching institution.
Murdoch is the only institution in the country to have scored 5-stars for
graduate satisfaction from The Good Universities Guide. Murdoch has also
been rated the best teaching campus of all Australia's public universities
by an independent national survey of university graduates. This high standing
is enhanced by two awards in the Prime Minister's 1998 Australian Awards
for University Teaching. Murdoch's Chiropractic course is designed to equip
students with the essential skills and knowledge required for the responsible
practice of Chiropractic in a conducive and supportive learning environment.
